Not merely a producer of wine, Vinum Afiléon is conceived as a creative house: one in which liquid, form and presentation are held to the same standard.
THE AFILÉON STORY
A NAME MADE INTO A SIGNATURE
Afiléon is the family identity at the heart of the work. Its significance here comes from what we create under it: imagination given discipline, and an unwillingness to make something ordinary for the sake of convention.
Established in 2025, Vinum Afiléon is a modern venture with a deliberately individual approach to wine and luxury objects.
THE BEGINNING
WHY ELDERBERRY
Elderberry was chosen for its depth, intensity and distinct character. Known in Scotland as the bourtree, the elder is familiar in the landscape yet uncommon as the centrepiece of a luxury fortified wine.
The challenge is to transform that character into something worth studying, tasting and preserving.
THE PHILOSOPHY
BEYOND THE EXPECTED
The work is neither a conventional vintage nor an imitation of another house. The liquid and the object that contains it are developed as parts of one artistic composition.
We seek character rather than conformity; precision rather than excess; permanence of intention rather than the convenience of fashion.
THE FIRST WORK
BOURTREE — GENESIS
Genesis is conceived as a small opening edition, individually numbered and presented by private conversation rather than a conventional online shop.
It carries one name and one clear origin: Vinum Afiléon.
